[Member Interview] What makes men who have smooth encounters different? 4 tips to practice at PATOLO

What should you write in your profile? How should you choose a location for your first date? For those who have just started using PATOLO or are having trouble finding a match, we spoke to Mr. A, who actually uses PATOLO.

This article will cover tips on creating a compelling profile and messaging, choosing a location for your first date, and how to cope when things don't go well.

This article is based on interviews conducted by the PATOLO management team with members. The person interviewed this time is Mr. A, who has experience using multiple matching services and dating clubs. To protect his privacy, information that could identify him, such as his age and workplace, has not been included, and some of his statements have been edited for readability.

What should I write in my sugar daddy profile?

—Do people who are not familiar with using it often stumble at first?

Mr. A: I think the first thing that troubles many people is their profile. Many people don't know what to write. It's the same with messages; they just blurt out their feelings as they are.

To put it bluntly, even if you really want to see someone, it's better not to show it directly. Since there's no one around to teach me this, I try to tell my friends about it.

How long does it take for a message exchange to end?

—What are the differences between people with whom communication continues and those with whom it doesn't?

Mr. A: You can tell to some extent from the message exchange. If someone is the type who likes to plan things in detail, it's difficult to continue seeing them if your schedule doesn't perfectly match theirs, and if the dates are off two or three times in a row, you usually just stop seeing them naturally.

Conversely, I find it easier to get along with people who respond quickly, often within the same day. Just like in romance, I don't think you should try to force yourself to match their pace.

Where should I choose for my first date with a sugar daddy?

—Is there anything you keep in mind when choosing a location for a first date?

Mr. A: I often use well-known, quiet cafes where we can talk comfortably. They're places that many women are interested in, so you can't go wrong. I also sometimes use whether or not they like sweets as a conversation starter.

Asking "Do you like sweets?" in a message is likely to elicit a response. Knowing in advance about places and menus that women enjoy is also important for making a good impression.

Even if it involves some effort and cost, it can be considered well worth it if you view it as an investment in making the other person enjoy themselves and increasing the chances of future encounters.

At what point can you determine whether something will continue or not?

—At what point do you decide whether to continue or not? Do you have any criteria?

Mr. A: I can't say for sure. I try to meet people I want to meet, even if it means slightly adjusting my own standards.

Lately, I've been keeping my invitations simple, like "Let's grab a coffee," and if I don't get a reply, I don't press the issue further. If I do get a reply, I try to imagine what kind of person they are and then move on to the next topic of conversation.

What's the difference when a dating club is involved?

During the interview, it was mentioned that, unlike other dating apps, the presence of a dating club as an intermediary provides a sense of security.

PATOLO has over 30 dating clubs participating as member businesses, and members register only after passing an interview with a member business.

Identity and age verification is performed for both men and women, and you can choose to schedule a date either through "Auto Date," where you directly arrange the date via chat, or by requesting a concierge to arrange it for you.

After the date, there's also a feature that allows you to send each other feedback on your profiles.

Summary

In this interview, we spoke with Mr. A, who actually uses PATOLO, about everything from how to craft his profile and messages to choosing a location for his first date and how to cope when things don't go well.

  1. Your profile and message should convey not only your qualifications but also your personality.
  2. Proceed with the exchange while respecting the other person's pace.
  3. When things don't go well, don't dwell on a single failure; move on to the next opportunity.

PATOLO's page for male members explains the identity and age verification process, as well as the steps involved in arranging a date. Please check it out.
